White's Club, in St. James's-street, 8. W., the oldest club in London, is divided at the moment on the great question of pipe-smoking.
Ever since the foundation of the club in 1698 the amoking of pipes on the club premises has been banned. To-day it is believed to be the only olub in London where pipes may not be smoked.
