The 16th annual general meeting: of the Shangbai Dock & Engineering Co., Ed., was held on July 31, M.; John Prentice preelding. He was supported, by Messrs. H. W. Leeter, B. D. F. Baith and P. S. Knight (director) and Mr J. A. Dawson (Secretary). The attendance represen- ted 7,929 shares.
The notice convening the meeting, And the auditor's resort having been rend, the Chairman said: Gertlemen, The report and accounts baving been in your hands for some days, with your permission, we will take them as read.
The depression in shipping, ship building and repairing, increased rather than decreased, as we bad toped during the year, but with so much against us we consider and think you will agree with us that the result of the year's working is not by Buy Desos Rosatisfactory.
The net profit for the year in cluding the amount brought forward from last year amounts to Tis. 834, 686,82.
