One professional bouncer. One entertainer.
Questa,
Would-be Guesta,
It had obviously bean a large, large evening chortles the N. C. Daily News. It was too hot to sleep and nobody wanted to go home to fry it | anyway. Hence every table in the resort was taken.
When this disappointing news wes broken by the proprietor to some late arrivals cne of them, obviously an- Doyed, declined to accept it as suf ficient reason for going home and endeavoured to force bis way in. Ose little gesture to the expert bouncer and the intruder found himself sur veying the summer stars from a tê- numbent position on the gravel driveway. When he got his bearing be sacs to have felt that having started something he ought to finish it... Wherefore bo came back for revarge and the first man he saw be ing, one of the dancers, fanning himself on the porch, be proceeded to hand him one. The little dancer gave over the idea of cooling off and promptly knocked the aggressive individual down, and again, and again until the friends of the gentleman who had started the row came to his Reaistance.
Then things began to get really social. The placky little dancer had his adherents too and they rushed to hie assistance. In the meantime more belated guests were arriving, anxious to get in. Earlier comers were anxious to get out and see what it was all about. The doors finally had to be locked but there were plenty of people outside to make the meler interesting. One merry party arrived just at this juncture and waded into the fray joyfully.
By this time no one knew who had started this feature of the evening's entertainment, and no one cared. It was like the good old game of "Pass It On Somebody hit someboy else. One man is said to have been a perfect glatton for punishment and was thrown down the steps mors times than any of the participants could count, until he was finally! bundled into a motor and taken to a hospital, ma
Such was the end of a perfect day. With. Bunda za na wazaning many gentlemen were surprised to find themselves possessed of an elaborate assortment of bruises and black-and- blues acquired quits without their knowledge or consent.
