CHINESE STUDENTS FOR BRITAIN.
LONDON, July 10th. Sir W. De Brece, in a letter to the emphasises the urgency of stimulat ing the selection of Chinese students for Britain.
The letter declares, it is vital to British emercial interests to have as many Chiurse students as possible here. as the student of today is the commercial traveller or merchant of to-morrow. Other Governments, notably the United Slates
utes and France, recognise this, but not a few of the Chinese students who rently arrived in England for study, found openings non-existent, and went to Germany. It is declared that this is not merely a matter for the educational authorities, Sir W. De Frese cannot utlerstand why manufacturers stud mer elmots da cet realise that indifference to this stibject is playing into the hands of
rivals.
