BASE BALL
THIS AFTERNOON'S GAME.
A slight change has been made in the scheduled arrangements for the initial Baseball game of the Season, which will take place at the Hong- Kong Football Club grounds at Happy Yalley this afternoon. Instead of the Hongkongites playing the Kowloon aggregation, the available candidates have been divided into two camps. one of which has assumed the name of the "Giants" and will be captain-
ed by EE. Brown, while the other known as the "Yankees," will be captained by H, J. Koch.
Interest in the American and Canadian communities is running high and there is sure to be a con- siderable amount of "rooting" for the adherents of the two teams. Inasmuch as this will be the first opportunity this season for the to see their old favourites

"Did he go on walking about the town like that until he was quite old?" asked Dorald.
"Yes," replied his mother, "Until at last he grew so old that he could hardly walk and he knew that he would soon have to give up his work and stop at home and be looked after by his grandchildren."
"How many had he?" Donald put ia again.
"Oh eleven or twelve," his mother laughingly said; "But they don't really come in the story, and when Donald exclaimed" What a lot!" little Graham copied him as usual.
"And then?..." Donald asked. "And then," bis mother continued, "A wonderful thing happened. A kind fairy who also was very fond of children thought what a pity it was that Willie Winkie should not be able to walk round the town and see them every night and so she change him into a fairy watchman. She thought that he would like to be able to run about quickly again and she turned him into a little boy fairy."

ARMED ROBBERS AGAIN.
Robbers raided a house in Park
Street at 8.15 last night and made a haul of jewellery worth $278. A Chinese married woman was sitting in the front part of the house, on-the ground floor, when suddenly the #treet door which was not locked, was pushed open and five men rathed in. She called out whereupon ade of the men pointed a dagger at her and ordered her to keep quiet. Her busband's concubine who rushed out from an inner room to see what was the matter, was promptly covered 'with a revolver by one of the other man. The robbers relieved the mistress of a pair of gold bangles and
a pair of gold mounted rattan ban gles. From the concubine they took another pair of gold mounted bangles. Not satisfied with their haul, the rot- bers took the mistress keys and opening up several boxes, took several gold rings, a pair of gold bangles and $100 in notes which were contained is a white metal jewel box, which they alec carried away. All five man made good their escape.
