The Interstat: Commerce Commission has ordered reductions averaging over ten per cent. in railroad freight rates as from July 1. Agricultural products however, are not affected. The rommission decided that a railroad was entitled to earn only 52 per cent, on the value of railroad property instead of the six per cat fixed by the Transportation Law se a reasonable return.
