The Federation of British In- dustries is showing much interest in the exhibition and a recent is-ne of its "Bulletin " calls attention to it as follows:
"Owing to the favourable circums- tances in which Japan found herself during the war she was ablo toin-. cresse hor wealth enormously. This naturally encouraged ♫ higher standard of living, involving a wide demand for foreign articles of luxury as well as for better class Europeaa goods to replace native productions, the latter tendoney being stimulated, by the high prices prevailing at home. These facta together with the en- hanced exchango value of the yen, make it fairly certain that or some time to come thore will be consider- ablo importations of manufactured goods and actioles of luxury, but it is as time of the Japanese na of other Shanghal, Kobo and nationalities that they require to see
the goods before they will buy them.
The exhibit on 'will be visited by people from all parts of this Japan Empire, as well as from China and Bibaria, and an unparalleled opport unity is presented of bringing good to the notice of buyers with whom it in in the ordinary way extremely dificult to got into touch. It is estimated that well över 4,000,000- people will visit the Exhibition Buring the Hme it is, open-from March 10 46 July 31, 1992.—Japan düvciliser.
