Disclosures of alleged speculatious in exchang values have been made recently, and it is stated that the French Director of Public Prosecutions is contemplating action against several highly placed officials of important banks in Paris.
These alleged private and illicis and operations in francs, dollars. pounds have it is reported, barn largely responsible for the fluctuations in the exchange rates in the past 18 months. Prominent officials have, it is alleged, bern conducting large gambling operations in exchange values under the cloak of genuine banking and commercial deals.
These operations are stated to have been on the largest scale and the total amount involved is stated to reach mary millions of pounds.
