FINAL ABDICATION DEMANDED.
VIENNA, October 24.
Karl's troops have been practically encircled and are struck with panic. Many have been captured. Karl with a body guard hastily entrained and fled to omoin. The Hungarian Government has announced that there is no farther likelihood of military action as Kad is without prospect of strengthening his forces. The Government has demanded Kail's unconditional surrender and interement in Hengary pending the decision of the Allies, Gualabdication on behalf of himself and his son, also the court-martialling of his military and political advisers.
ALLIES DEMAND KARL'S EXPULSION, -
PARIS, October 24.
The Conference of Ambassadors has instructed {representatives of the Allies at Budapest to summon the Hungarian Govemment to proclaim the deposition of Karl, then seize and expe! him from Hungary, other- wise the Allies will disavow responsibility for posible consequences to Hungary.
PARIS. October 24, Reports have reached the Conference of Ambasta- dors that the rituation in Hungary is becoming more serious. Karl's forces are nearing the capital and meet- ing with little resistance.
REGENT'S ARMY PROCLAMATION,
BUDAPEST, October 24. Admiral Horthy has issued a proclamation to the National Army declaring that only the Regent cau authorizé a transfer of power to His Majesty Charles IV and to do so at present would mean the ruin of the country. Therefore he expects all members of the Sational Army to remain faithful to their oath to him and obey orders unconditionally.
ITALY DENIES COMPLICITY.
PARIS, October 24. With reference to the statements that Karl's coup was inspired by Italy's pro-Magyar policy the Italian Embassy emphatically denies the existence of an agreement between Hungary and Italy with a view to" the restoration of Karl or that Italy, in party to any. agreement directed against other powers.
