cald. the eighth annual apatic sports meeting of Queen's College was succeNS fully held in the V.R.C. hath yesterday afternoon. There was a large atten- dance of students. their parents and Inends. Enthusiasm was great, and there was mach keen. sporting com petition between the competitors, with the result that some very exciting finishes were witnessed.
The industrial peace is threatened by a dispute between the engineeringditions, and with the water not too employers and workers on the abolition of the Ministry of Manitions wartime bonus representing a loss of about 10s, a week on present earnings, in addition to the 6s, reduction a few months ago. A conference of delegates of the engineering trade unions to-day decided to take a ballot of members on the employers proposal to remove the bonus in three instalments Nearly a million workers are concerned while an equal number are involved in a similar ¦ dispute with regard to the munitions bonus for shipbuilding employes who belong to the same federation as the engineering employes. Thus nearly | 2,004,000 men are involved in the outcome of the negotiation:
