SOLE SURVIVOR'S STORY,
The story of the sole survivor of ! the Osaka Shosen Kaisha freighter Shoshu Maru," which went down off the Leochoo Islands last month with 44 hands, has reached the Nichi Nicki. Only one man of the steamer's crew survived the disaster and he was saved because he was sent out with a life belt in an attempt to get to shore and call for aid before the vessel went down.
