thar coluters Latest reports of the Moplah risings show

Malappuram, Calicut and Tarur are converging on Tirurangad. Reports from some districts indicate that the disturbances are slowly subsiding and a favourable turn in the situation is expected shortly. Attempts by members of the congress party in pacify the Moplahs have apparently failed. Local newspapers draw attention to the fact that the rising was not merely against the Government but against all non- Moslems, in consequence of which Hindus and Christians are organising bands with the object of teating off the rebels.

It is officially announced that detachments of the Leinsters and special pofice relieved Mallapuram and brought the garrison to Calicut. Particulars from Pukkatur show that a large body of rebels armed with sporting rifles, swords, and carbines made a demonstration of traditional ferocity and eagerness for death. They fought desperately for five hours before they were beaton of.

The Sender cf a parcel may request at the time of posting that, if a piros! cannot be delivendas addressed it may be either (a) treated as abandoned, or Ch1tendered or delivery at a sound address in the country of destination. No either alternative is admivel if the sender avails himself of this facility his request trust be written on the parcel al must be in the following forms:-

If this parcel is undeliverable to the a idresses, it should be.

(a) cousin red as abandoned

(b) tezdered for delivery to

In the aberce of a thaise request for elandonment a parcel which is indeliverable at the original atress or at the alternative address (if one is furnished) will at the expiration of 15 sys from date of its receipt in the United Kingdom or 21 days in this Col-ty except in the case of a "Posts Restante i parcel) e returned to the sender without previous rotilication and at his expense.
