The company is perhaps the largest band of raw silks in the world, supplying fourth of Japanese silk exported to America, all besides supplying Eurapean markets. It also controls 40 per cent of Japan's entire output of coal. The credit of having been the first exporter of Manchurian beans to Europe and of lumber to America and Europe must also be awarded to the company.
