SUPREME COUNCIL.

BRITISH ANTICIPATE BRIEF FRENCH PROTRACTED MEETING.

EXPERTS' REPORT. ON EFFER SILESIA

Löginer, August 2.

While the sathorities in Londan hold the opinion that the Supreme Council will be confined to the Silesian question and will be ray brief, Paris messages show that the French contemplate a pesaracted council pr widest scope.

The Melin says that benides Belgium, ínyitations willi probably be sent to Yago-Slavia, Poland, and Rogokia, while if the discussions of the Near Eastern question-develop, Gace will be heard. Contrary to Mr. Lloyd George's belief expressed, in the Fouse of Commons yesterday, the Matin says it is doubtful whether the experis will finish their labours as regards Upper Silesia before the meeting of the Council. Hence the decisions of the Council as regards Silesia will probably merely he previsional. The Matin anticipates that the Council will be bound to take steps to save the fardinestricken population of RussÍJA
