It is understood that Washington has invited General Smuts to attens the disarmament conference. The British delegation is forecasted ad Halows Mr. Lloyd George. Mr. Balfour, and General Smuts. It is officially announced in Washington that Japan has accepted President Harding's invitation.
CONFERENCE ON ARMISTICE, DAY.
LONDON, July 13. The Daily Express correspondent is officially informed that all the invited powers-Britain, France, Italy, Japan, and China-bave formally accepted President Harding's invitation to a Pacific conference. It is now regarded that there is small prospect of a preliminary Pacific conference being held shortly but it is reported in Washington that the first conference will be fixed for Armistice Day, November 11.
