INDIA ABLE TO SUPPLY THE WORLD.

LONDON, May 3.

Mr. Raitt, an Indian Government cellulose expert, addressing the Sode of Arts, referring to the dearness of newsprint owing to the reduced soply of wood, estimated the world's consumption of paper at 12,000,000 institute showed that only two vegetable substances were economical valuable for paper-making, namely bamboos and savannah grasses. Therefore India could produce enough pulp for the whole world. There were prospects that bamboe unbleached palp could be delivered in the United Kingdom at a cost of £16 or £18 a ton.
