LONDON, May 3. The Chinese Minister gave a dinner in honour of Mr. Chu Chi Chien, at which the principal guest was Mr. H. A.L. Fisher, Minister of Education In proposing the health of Mr. Piaber, Dr. Wellington Koo dwelt on Mr. Chu Chi Chien's interest in educational systems. Mr. Fisher, replying, spoke of the firmest of the British Government in maintaining good relations in the East. He declared that the British were greatly attracted to the Chinese by their art, morals, teaching system, religion, honesty, simplicity, and absence of pretence. Mr. Chu Chi Chien, replying, said that he was an ardent admirer of British Institutions and was möck impressed by the genius of English people: He was glad to note their increased Interest in Oriental culture and civilisation.
