DRIVER SUCCUMES TO INJURIES.
A distressing motor accident which resulted in the death of one man, and : injuries to two others, occurred yes terday morning at the junction of the new road and the tram terminus at the end of Shaukiwan Road.
Motor car No. 86 used by the Con- naught Garage for training new drivers went out early in the morning ; with
two licensed drivers and two beginners for practice runs cound Happy Valley. Having completed, the morning's work, the car proceeded on a trip round the island with one of the learners at the wheel. One of the licensed drivers occupied the seat next to him, and the other two men sat behind. The car made the trip from Happy Valley to the tram terminus at the end of Shaukiwan Road through: the traffic there without any mis shap, and, they turned up Stanley Road.
