BLUE PACKET TOBACCO,

AN APRIL FOOL STORY.

One year when the first of Aprü came in the Easter holidays some children were staying in a little sea- side village in Wales.

There were two girls, Molly and Sybil Verney and their one brother, Harald, who was fourteen years old and who was the eldest. A school friend of his, Gordon Manning, was staying with them, as well.

Mr. Verney had taken a furnished cottage for the holidays and they were all having a thoroughly good time.

Early in the mornings the girls helped their mother in the house as they were only able to get a woman in once or twice a week, and after that they were free to roam about · wherever they liked.
