WELSH BY-ELECTION.
THREE CANDIDATES POSSIBLE.
LONDON, January 25. The Cardiganshire Liberal Association has selected Mr. Llewelyn Williams by 206 votes against 127 for Mr. Evans. The latter previously declared that he would seek election whatever the Association's decision, while it is probable that a third candidate will be Sir Lewes Loveden-Pryse as Liberal anti-waste candidate.
[A Londos message dated January 1 stated:-The single by-election created by the Honours List promises to be exciting, as a straight fight is anticipated between a Coalition-Liberal and an Independent Liberal in a typical Welsh constituency so far represented by Mr. Vaughan Davies. It is expected that Mr. Evans, one of the Prime Minister's private secretaries, will be the Coalitionist, and he will probably be opposed by Mr. Llewelyn Williams, ex-member of Parliament for Carmarthen. Both are Welsh orators. The dection may decide the fate of Welsh Liberalism, which has "already split.!
