DEPRESSED MAN COMMITS SUICIDE.
A Chinese, aged about 35 years, yesterday committed suicide by cut- ting his own throat. Fellow'inmates of the deceased's house, No. 63 First Street, informed the police that the unfortunate man, who had for a long time been under the delusion that his life was being sought by a gang of murderers, must have com mitted suicide in a fit of depression.
Capt. A. Kennedy and Mr. H. Mactavish, two well-known local residents, returned from leave yester day by the "Deranha."

There is the Main Land across the other side, called Kowlow, which long ago belonged to China. There are some very nice trees here, there sre some banyan trees, but they were cut down-
