REGISTERED and PARCEL MAILS are closed 15 minutes earlier than the time given below unless otherwise stated, and where mails are advertised to close s or before 9 s registered and parcel mails are cloerd at 5 pm. on the previous day.

He quotes the case of a passenger and mail steamer showing an actual loss on the round voyage from London to Bombay and back of £10,000 and gives another example of a loss of £35,000 incurred by a passenger-liner on the round trip to i Australia and back.
