PEACE NEGOTIATIONS TO BE RESUMED AT RIGA.
GUARANTEES GIVEN.
WARSAW, September 3. The Soviet has accepted Rigs as the venue for senewing the peace negotiations. The head of the Soviet delegation will be Citizen Joffe. The Soviet has demanded certain guarantees respecting immunity for the Russian and Ukrainian delegation and the right of unrestricted communica tions, which the Polish Foreign Minister, Prince Sapieha, has taken steps to secure. It is understood that peace negotiations will be resumed in the course of the next week.
"BOLSHEVIK. ANXIOUS FOR PEACE?
LONDON, September 3.
It is reported in a message from Warsaw that the Polish Foreign Minister, Prince Sapieha, in the course of an important statement to British and American journalists, declared that his Government was convinced that the Bolsheviks were now anxious to make peace quickly. Both, parties had agreed to try to secure a reasonable agreement as between equal parties, not as between victor vanquished. He did not anticipate difficulties on territorial questions.
