GERMAN AEROPLANE MOTORS.

- WORKMEN URGED TO DEFY ALLIES' DEMANDS.

BERLIN, August 29.

The Workers' Council of the Kiel Dockyards is urging the men not to comply with the demands of the Entente for the destruction of 200 aero plane motors at present lying in the dockyard, declaring that the dockyard men are prepared to destroy instruments of murder, but that Germany has given guarantees that the motors will only be used for purposes of civilisa tion. It should be remembered that the Entente's object in the destruction of these engines is to hamper the resumption of German bombings of help less civilians at favourable opportunity.

ANOTHER GIRMAN STRIKE.

A general strike has been declared at Stuttgart in protest against the deduction of ten per cent, of income tax, from the wages of all workers.
