... LONDON, August 5th In the House of Commons, replying to questions, Mr. Lloyd George stated that fas Government had not yet received a reply to the telegram despatched to the Soviet on July 29th. Ho had just learned, that M. Kamene, the Soviet representa five in London, had received a tele sram, but he did not know the character of the message. The Fremier proceeded to read the latest British telegram to the Bories Hating that if the Soviet insisted oa pesce conditions being settled between Poland and Russia to the exclusion of the ather Powers, the basis on which it was proposed to coadnet negotiations in London reeld have disappeared, and the project for a conference would have fallen to the ground. Also if the Soviet took advan-in spite tage of the delay now caused to continue the advance inza ethnographical Poland the Government would be driven to the conclusim that the Soviet did not intend to respect the liberty and independence of Poland and the situation contemplated in the Government's telegram to 31. Mr. Lloyd George stated that he and Bondy Law yesterday interviewed M. Kazenes and M.
