LABOUR NOT ONE PARTY-

Alluding to the Labour Party, e said that for many members of it he had a high and genuine respect, but- the difficulty about the Labour Party was that it was not one party, but at least two. There were some men among them, men of wide vision and moderate thought, who "might" well be trusted in any position responsibility, but there were others and, unfortunately, they seemed to have a very large share of the control of the Labour Party--to. whom he would not entrust the man agement of the smallest business.

The first plank in any political pro- gramme must be rigid economy. Whatever Government was in power, we must see that they really did try and save money. He was uneasy about the plan to spend millions in reclothing our soldiers. We had got to realise the truth of the old British proverb "You must cut your coat according to your cloth," as far as taxation was concerned,"
