IRISH RAILWAYMEN

DRAMATIC UTTERANCES.

LONDON, June 20 The railway leader, Mr. Thomas, speaking at Scarboro', said the Irish railwaymen who interviewed the Premier had decided that whatever the

consequences they could not give way. If Ireland were running with blood next week and the military succeeded in exterminating the Railway men there would still remain the Irish problem to be solved. He asked the Irish workers to realise the consequences of starting a fight against the machine-guns of militarism. The Trade Unionists and the Governinent had national obligations.

THE ANATOLIAN DECISION.

LONDON, June 21. Reuter understands that in connection with the decision of the Hythe Conference to give the Greeks a free hand in Anatolia, -the share of the British and French Governments will be restricted to the defence of Constantinople and the Dardanelles.

In order to meet these onditions newspapers and magazines all over the world have been obliged to raise their subscription and advertising zatea-in. some cases by as much as 100 per cent size and number of pages. For the present, however, it has been decided, in the interests of the public generally and of advertisers in particular, to leave the price of the "Cura Max" changed.
