LONDON, April 15. In the House of Common Mr. Benar Law emphasised that the whole action taken, with regard to hunger-striking was hued on a decision regard amelicrative treatment. He denied there was any change in the govern- ment's attitude. The same course was followed as on the case of O'Brien. The government would be only too glad to change the hish policy if con ditions changed, but it must take every precaution to protect lie.

At the Magistracy this morning, before Mr. R. O. Hutchison, the hearing was concluded in the case in which the landlord of No. 48 Lower Lascar Row, was charged with permitting the first floor of the house to be used as a brothel.
