THREE MINES IN NETS.

FRAMSGATE SKIPPERTTRYING

UNIQET

Skipper George Bradley, of the Rin sgate, steam trawler "Acceptable," has had some exciting experiences in his first North Sea fishing. trip since his release from work with the Dover Patrol

. In one night, writes the. Ramsgate correspondent of the. Deity Chronicle, he trawled up three moored, mines. The first carried away a considerable portion of the brawl and had been partially destroy ed without exploding, but several pieces of the mechanism including the detonator, had remained in the net:

A new travl was rigged up and Depositfishing was continued, but when the with net was about. to be hauled clear of tender.the bulwarks and lowered on deck another mine, quite intact, was seen $280,00 to be among its contents, and as it $80.00 was impossible to get rid of the dan 700.00

SKIPPER TAKES THE RISK... Late a moored mine became entangled in the net as the starboard trawl was being raised, and as it was brought to the surface the mine could be heard bumping against the side of the vessel.

Bradley was loth to lose another set of gear, so he decided to make an

· effort to clear the obstruction by cutting away the net..

Undismayed by the imminent danger of being blown to pieces, be got deck hands to hold him by the feet while he leant full length over the side and, with an axe, cut round the mine, and had the satisfaction of seeing it sink.

Fishing, was afterwards abandoned, and when the fish caught during 30| hours trawling were sold nearly £500 was realised.

The remarkable defence being made by many Bolshevik torturers and mur- derers, both men and women, whol have been captured by the White army, is that they are irresponsible cocaine fiends, and joined the Bolshe eviks in order to get supplies of this drug. Major Sayer told something of his findings to a representative of, Reuter's Agency illustrating his re- marks with photographs which he himself had taken. WHY MALARIA RECURS.

Once the spores of the Malarin para- site have become established in the blood something more efficacious than |quinine—which at best is purely a. pal- lative is necessary to eliminate them. Unless these spores are completely exterminated they will rem-in dormant for varging intervals of time, only to break out into renewed activity when. ever the vitality is lowered by chils, change of temperature, debility. - or other causes. Then the victim experi ences another bout of this distressing disease.

But if theblood is rich, red and strong the system is thereby sala-guard." ed against the causes of lowered vitality, and at the same time this good blood. by creating a generous amount of red cor puscles, makes existence impossible for the germs of Malaria. Thus it is that Dr. Williams Fink Pilla bave gained such popularity in all countries-com- spicuous for Malaria. The pure, new, discusa expelling blood which these pills create has brought new life, strength. and permanent health to sufferers in every part of the World where Malaria is found.
