General Seely asked the airmen to dine with him in the House 耳: prompt and robust acceptance was at once voiced back. In March 1918, said General Seely, there were two squadrons on the Western front fitted with wireless telephony, and it was impossible to estimate the advantage it had been to us. There had been no indication that wireless telephony had been developed by the enemy.

A demonstration of wireless navigation was also given, and Capt. Robinson, R.A.F, explained the apparatus.

Omsk, Oct. 6.-With reference to certain rumours about the latest events in the Far East, the Secretary of the Council of Ministers. M.Guins,

made the following declaration to representatives of the Press:

"The Socialist revolutionary Bast worked out a plan for the establish-

ment of a new socialistic government.

To carry out this plan it was decided to convoke illegally in Vladivostock The an Assembly of Zemstvos. Government being well informed that the leaders of this movement had no support of. the population behind them, did not attach great importance to affair. The failure to carry out the coup d'etat was due not only to the Concentration of milltary forces in Vladivostock, but also to the power- lessness of the conspirators. The representatives of the Allied Powers, in full agreement with theirrespective Governments, disavowed the new move in decisive terms, and gave the necessary instructions to their Consular agents in the Far East.
