ALLEGED MURDER.

DEATH OF CHINESE DETECTIVES

On July 28 while a Chinese detec tive from Kuala Kubu was going the rounds at Rasa,, he came upon a Malay who was trying to sell a for at a ridiculously low price, Hé qucntioned the man as to whose fowl it was. Ox hia answering that it was his own, and intimating also that he' was prepared to show the detective where he kept his fowls, both detec tive and Malay proceeded to walk to the appointed place. When nering the latter,, however, the Malay is alleged to have suddenly drawn out a short kris, and stabbed the defec tive in the stomach, killing him in stantly, and then making off for the jungle near by. The polies are now hot in pursuit of the murderer and Inte hopes of soon running him to- earth.
