DORMANT BANK BALANCES.
The adjourned debate on the report stage of the dogs" Protection Bill was continued on an amendment moved by Sir Hamar Greenwood on behalf of the Home Office, providing that no experiments should be per formed on dogs except as "herein- after provided."
Sir F. Banbury, who introduced the Bill, said if the amendment was carried it would frustrate the whole purpose of the Bill. It was altoge ther an erroneous idea that experi ments were painless.
Captain Elliott read a list of supe of the Anti-Vivisection porters League and chaffed the Labour party on its connection with the peerage. He was also surprised to find Sir John. Butcher associating with people who were enemies of the country. At the head of the list of vice presidents was Princess Ludwig von Lowenstein Wertheim.

Sir John Butcher at once jumped. up and said that he had rever heard of the lady and did not wish to.
Captain Elliott remarked, that it was a strange association, that of Sir John Butcher and Princess Ludwig von Lowenstein Wertheim-(laugb- ter)in order to put an end to research in Great Britain.
Sir John Butcher repudiated hotly the suggestion, saying it was an insult on the part of Captain Elliott.

Mr. Christopher Lowther seconded the Bill.
The Chancellor of the Exchequer said the Government had no objec- tion to the principle of the measure, and the bankers had no objection if it pleased Parliament to pass sucir legislation. A NEW WIRELESS WONDER.
AIDS TO SHIPS AND AIRSHIPS.
Speaking in London, on May 22 on the future of wireless, Mr. God- frey Isaacs said never again would a passenger crossing the Atlantic be out of touch with land, and, in future, he might conduct his business just as if he were on land. In future ships would be able to phone and telegraph one to the other at sea- without any danger of interference. It would also be possible to equip a- vessel with an apparatus.which would; End its exact position in dense fog, tell it of the approach of other vessels and their approximate distance. Wireless would also enable a vessel 'to tell "approxi→ mately their position as to the land. By the aid of the newly-invented wireless direction 'frider' an alrmän ̈ will be enabled to tell his actual beight and position. But there was a new and more wonderful machine called the new trainemitter at ́a divert gent beam without a light, which will tell the airman exactly where he was. In short, very soon a passenger in the air will be as easily able to tell where he was as a passenger looking out of a railway curriage." The new and wonderful invention
