We shall be glad to receive an explana- tion of how you came to publish this advertisement.""

To this the editor replied as follows

Is your letter to be taken an serieux? We cannot understand how the advertisement in question can be regarded as being an informative statement of "the weather position

The editor decided to await the consequences, but nothing more was heard of the matter.
