CLOSE FINISH FOR LEAGUE
BONOURS.
Three league matches on Saturday dil nothing to bring the league championship to a certainty for efther Civil Service or R. G. A. A defeat for the latter, would have simplified matters but they defeated the Navy with ease.
The win by K.C.C. over University. and Craigèngower's defeat of the C.R.C. has no bearing on the final.
The outstanding games of the Clubs concerned, via: Civil Service
and RG:A. are as follow:
Civil Service (1) v. University. F.GA. (2 v K.C.C. and R.E. It will be seen from these that each team has one difficult obstacle, the RG. A. the more difficult of the Ewo, inasmuch as they are due to play K.CC. on the latter's ground.

Ninth yearly report of the directors to the shareholders in the Teluk Ansen Rubber Estate, Limited, states
The profit for the year, after pro- viding for depreciation, but subject to directors' fees, amounts to $37,638.99, to which has to be added the amoun: brought forward from last year, via, $34,281192, making 'a total of $71.920.91. Yuor directors recommend that $60,000 be trans- ferred to reserve, and that the balance be carried forward to next year's account.
Your directors consider that, in view of the necessity of maintaining Palawan division out of revenue, it is essential to retain a strong financial position. Therefore, after, careful, consideration, it has been determined not to recommend a dividend in respect of the year under review, but they propose to review carefully the company's financial position in June, when, if the rubber market appears satisfactory, ar interim dividend will be paid.

IL.K.C.C. TOURNAMENTS.
On Saturday afternoon A. Morse and Mrs. Black frec. 3:6) defeated A. D. Humphreys and Mrs. Arm- strong (owe 30) in the first two sets played, thus qualifying to meet C. Thorne and Mrs. Dreaper in the final.
The back-markers made light of their handicap at the beginning, win ning the first two games.
Morse and his partner came along and won three games out of the next four. Morse got in a few capital shots at the net and Mrs. Black was playing finely from the back line.
The next four games went to each pair alternately bringing the scores five all Morse won the eleventh game after several deuces and also the next; which was a love win and gave him and Mrs. Black the first set. In the second set the handicap of 30 told greatly against Humphreys and Mrs Armstrong. In the first game they only succeeded in wiping off the handicap. In the second they did the same and scored 15 in addition. The third game, they just managed to remove the handicap and in the fourth were owing 15 when Morse and his partner brought the scores 4-0.
By dint of clever and resourceful play the backmarkers took the next Mrs. Armstrong put' two games. some clever strokes over at this 31 stage.
