The Cabinet has agreed to the request of the American, British and French Legations that German in terests be excluded from the Four- Power Group formed in 1911 for the Construction of the Szechuan-Hankow Railway, the German interests to be divided among the remaining Powers. The agreement provided for a gold loan of Six million pounds.
The application for a further ex- tension of the Currency Loan of 1911, wherein American, British, French and German Banking groups par- ticipated, has not yet been answered. The period expired in October last and an extension was granted until April 15th..

(1) After any resolution has been passed under the provisions of paragraph (1) of this Article the Board may arrange on behalf of the Society for the dividend or bonus to be set off against the call by authorizing any person on behalf of the members from whom such call is due to enter into an Agree ment with the Society providing for such dividend or bonus to be set off against sech call and a such authority shall be effective any Agreement made under

That 16,000 shares of the capital of the Society be issued addi- tionally to the 60,000 shares referred to in. Resolution No. 1- and that the sum of £s be called up thereon and that such additional shares be offered in the feet instance at a premium. of £31 por share to the persons who are registered as the share- holders of the fociety on the date this resolution is passed in the proportion of one additional share for each silver share previous y held and upon the footing that the sum of called
up plus the £21 (making together £25 per share)'shall be paid to the Society on accepirace of the offer, and that such offer be made by notice specifying the number of shares, to which nach persons are entitled and limiting the fine within, which the ofer if not accepted by payment will be deemed to be declined to the 23rd May, 1928, and that the Board be empow ered to dispose of the shares nol taken up in response to such oder sy they consider expedient in the 'nterests of the Society- That the 18,000 additional shares catarred to in Regolation No. I participate in all dividends declared after the next Annual General Meeting of the Society pro rats with the 80,000 shares referred to in Resalation No. E

On the K.C.C ground the home team had an easy win. Except for a good hatt ng display by Cavanaugh and a fine last wickest stand the innings of the Manchesters was featureless. Goodall and Blackburn commenced the Kowlcon innings. The latter secured an Easter egg but Goodall lasted a good while, batting steadily aid well watil run out.
