UNION INSURANCE SOCIETY OF CANTON, LIMITED.

TOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that an Extraordinary General Meeting of the Eociety will be held at the registered office of the Society, Queen's Building, Hongkong, on THURSDAY, the 10th day of April, 1912, st 13 o'clock soon, when

subjoined resolutions —

1. That the nominal silvercapital of the Society as existing when this resolution is confrmed as if special resolution be converted into sterling and that such capital so converted, be is creased beyond the sterling equivalent of such silver capital when such conversion takes place to the sum of £2,000,000 Sterling divided into 200,000 shares of the nominal value si £10 each.

That each of the issued silver shares of the Society of the nominal value of $250.each with the sum of $100 paid up therton be converted into five shares of the nominal value of £10 each with the sterling equivalent of 80 Hongkong car rency at the opening T, T. rate of exchange on the date this resolution is eenfirmed saa special resolution credited as paid up thereon and accordingly that 80,000 shares out of the 200,000 shares of the nominal value of £10 each constituting the capital of the Society converted and increased be distributed by the Pord to the persons who are registered as shareholders of the Society on the date this resolution is confirmed es a special resolution in exchange for the silver abares then held by them.

That the Articles of Association be altered in manner following, namely:---

The insured letter and insured parcel services between Egypt (or in transit through Egypt) and Cyprus are tempor arily suspended.

Uninsured parcels for the United | Kingdom will in fatare be forwarded from Hongkong in bags and the Public are therefore advised to pack such parcels very carefully.
