AN EXCITING CHASE.

On Friday evening, a Water Police launch was patrolling the outer waters of the Colony when the Police aboard her saw a launch coming from the direction of Chinese waters.

The launch made straight for them, and evidently recognising the Police Flag. it altered its course and steamed off in the opposite direction. This strange action aroused the suspicions of the Police who set off in pursuit.
