Zionism in Chins has made great strides lately consequent upon the plan of audpaign carried out by the Shanghai anti Association ever since Great Britain declied her inten» i tion in November, last year, to assist: in the establishment of a Jewish National Homeland in Palestine. It

ill be remembered that in August | last, the Royal Siamese Government replied sympathetically to the letter of the local Zionist Association, giving the Movement their unqualified ap proval and endorsement. This is now followed by a similar Declaration issued by the Chinese, Governinent [which was approached by the Associa«, kion as far back as June last. It is interesting to note that this petition was carried person by Judge Charles S. Lobingier on his visit to Peking and given personally to the American Minister, Dr. Paul Reinsch, with a kind, request to hand it ofer to the Minister for Foreign Affaire, the result being that an official state ment has been received by Mr. Kadoorie reading thus:-
