HONGKONG TIDES.
The tide-table even below has been sompiled at the National Almanac Office -in London from the result of the analysis of observations taken by means of an automatic tide recording machine in the Water Police Basin at Tsim Sha Tsui during the years 1995-3.
The zero of the table corresponds with the zero of the sounding in the Admiralty Chart, which has been found to be feet
inches below mean sea-level To obtain the depth of water on the ide gauge at the Victoria Naval Yard feet 4 inches, and on the gauge at Lamont Dock, Aberdeen, add 10 fost inches to the height given in the table.
