Mr Schroeder was accompanied on his journey by his wife and 14-year-old daughter, and their journey was inters: rupted in the middle of Finland. wir was raging there at the time and they were compelled to live in a railway carriage for nearly a fortnight.
An attempt was made tu reach Petrograd by the Ladoda railway, but this proved a failure. Eventually, now- ever, after the Bed Guards had been subelved in the north, Mr. Schroeder and family, succeeded in getting back to Copenhagen, by way of Haparanda--DO less than 14 days after having started op their journey.
