The Report of the Committee ap pointed by E. the Governor to enquire into the teaching of English in Govern ment Schools was laid before the Legislative Council yesteering.
The Committee was instructed to inquire into the teaching of the English language to Chinese boys in Government schools, and to examine the question whether by a redaction in the number of other subjects more time can be devoted to such teaching.
