NEW TYPHOON SIGNALS.

Now Local and Non-Local Storm Signal Codes will be introduced at Hongkong on 1st July, 1917, in place of the old foeal Code, and the China Coast Code.

The principal change in the Local Code is that the now signals will show the direction from which the galo in expected, whereas the old signals showed the position of the typhoon The latter will be indicated, as hereto fore, by the Non-locat Signals The new Local Code is given below:-

HONGKONG TIDES.

The tide table Kiven below has been pompiled at the National Almanac Office in London from the result of the analysis of observations taken by means of an automatic tide-recording machine in the Water Folice Easin at Tsim Sha Tsui during the years87-8-9.

WEATHER REPORT.

On the 26th at 11.45-No returns from Japanese stations. Pressure has de creased considerably at Vladivostpek, moderately at Weihaiwei, and slightly at other reporting stations. Freasure over Tongkin is now nearly normal. The northem depression, continues to travel eastward.

There are indications of a depression to the east of Luzon,

Hongkong Rainfall for the 24 hours, ending at 10 am. to-day, 0.45 inch. Total since January 1st, 37,07 inches, againat

an average of 36.82 inches.
