HONGKONG TIDES.

The tide-table given below has tem compiled at the National Almanac Office of observations taken by means of an in Londen from the result of the analysis automatic tide-recording machine in tas Water Folice Baain at Tsim Sha Tsui during the years 1897-8-9.

The era of the table corresponds with she zero of the sounding in the Admiralty Chart, which has been found to be 4 feet

inches below mean sea level.

To obtain the depth of water on the tide gange at the Victoria Naval Yard add 3 feet 4 inches, and on the gange at Lamont Dock, Aberdeen, add 10 feet 4 inches to the height given in the table.
