HONGKONG TIDES.

The tide table given below has been compiled at the National Almanac Office in London from the result of the analysis of observations, taken by means of an watomatic tide-recording machine in the Water Police Besin at Tsim Sha Tsui during the years 1887-8-9.

The temp of the table corresponds with the zero of the sounding in the Admiralty Chart, which has been found to be 4 feet 3 inches below mean sea level. “

To obtain the depth of water on the de gaugo at the Victoria Naval Yard add 3 feet 4 inches, and on the gauge at Lamont Dock, Aberdeen, add 10 feet inches to the height given in the table
