The meeting was one of the most auspicious gatherings ever beld in South China. For week! the doctors and other foreigners, in con- Junction with the Chinese, have been aking preparation for these Associ tions. At the opening services one of the largest crowds gathered which basbeen in Canton for a long time.

For days the delegates have been gathering from all parts of China. These had been cuming in small numbers until Wednesday when the grest body reached Ganton on the train and boat.
