The tide-table given below has been 5:00 PM, ompiled at the National Almanac Office in London from the result of the analysis of observations taken by means of an satomatic tide-recording machins in the 6.00 AM Water Police Basin at Tsim Sha Tsui
during
the years 1897-8-0. The zero of the table corresponds with 5.00 .x. the zero of the sounding in the Admiralty Chart, which has been found to be feet 3 inches
s below mean sea level. To obtain the depth of water on the tide gange at the Victoria Naval Yard 2.00 .. add 3 feet 4 inches, and on the gauge at Lamont Dock, Aberdeen, add 10 foot 4 inches to the height given in the table.
