The Murman Railway, which really may be said to commence at Petrograd. is divided into five sections:
"1. Petrograd-Zwanka, 114 verats (70 miles) (old railway).
...Zwanka-Petrosavodsk, 256 vorsts (150 miles new railway, completed.
3. Petrosa rodsk-Kern, 408 verste (271 miles) now railway, completed.
4. Kern-Kandalakscha, 322 versta (213 miles), new, in course of construction.

Marman Port, the terminus at Kols, lies 10 vests to the north of the small towa of Kola, and thanks to the Gulf stream, it is never closed by icc.
