The tide table given below has been compiled of the National Almanac Office is London from the result of the analysis of observations taken by means of an natomatic tide-recording machine in the ster Police Basin at Tsim Sha Tsui sturing the years 1887-8-3.

The zero of the table, corresponds with the zero of the sounding in the Admiralty Jual

which has been found to be 4 feet inches below mean sea level.

To obtain the depth of water on the site gauge at the Victoria Neval Yard and 3 feet 4 inches, and on the gauge at Lamont Dock, Aberdeen, add 10 feet & inches to the height given in the table
