A considerable sensation was caused in Portuguese circles on Saturday evening by the arrast, and the circumstanca sürreand- ing it, of Mr C. J. da Silva, a prom'mant Portuguese lawyer. The second sheet was published by a Spanish subjact, who at the end of -the printed matter stated that the third would appear in "due course. It is alleged that the nation of the Portugese authori ties has connexion with the one of thesa primphlets, ut of this there is at present no confrmation,
