Since the war started, continued Mr. Asquith, not far short of three millions had enlisted in the Army and Navy. Recruiting had been well intained, though he regrotted that in the last few weeks there had been falling off.

After reviewing the position of the war and paying tributes to the gallantry of the Russians, Mr. Asquith, concluded by saying that unis was a war of mechanism, organisation and endurance. Victory was likely, to incline to the side which could arm itself best and stay the longest. That was what we meant to do. (Great Cheering.)
